Meet Bonnie Mosby, MSW Clinical Intern

You feel as though the ground beneath your feet is always unsteady. Your strength and endurance are being challenged by the weight and intensity of the hurtful parts of life. You may find it difficult to get through the day without intense anxiety, sadness, or even anger at the world. It’s becoming more difficult to maintain the “status-quo” that the world expects of you. You find yourself holding onto hurts that everyone else seems to have already moved past, you find yourself saying things like, “I should be over this,” “I just don’t know what to do,” and “I feel so alone.”

I want you to know… time is a social construct, and healing has no concept of it.

I’ll sit with you as we navigate your version of healing, exploring all parts of you that are “stuck in the past” and walking with those parts toward your healed future. Therapy already has a reputation for being stiff and uncomfortable and I work to create a fun and inviting environment to gently hold space for your story. I utilize skills and approaches that allow you to be your authentic self both inside and outside of the therapy office.

My approach to therapy is inherently trauma-focused. individual, collective, and historical sources of trauma impact our beliefs, behaviors, and the systems within which we function. I use modalities influenced by inner child work and traditional play and art therapies uniquely adjusted to align with your needs, wants, and passions to help create a relationship with all parts of you.

Fee per session: $30

Therapy with me is…

  • I utilize inner child work and play and art therapies to help build authentic connections to self. If you’re not interested in those types of approaches, I honor that in session and still work with you to find your version of your most healed self.

  • I understand that the world has been mean and tough, there hasn’t been too many soft places to land in this life. I want to sit with you in a safe environment as we explore your story.

  • The way I do therapy is heavily based on including you in your treatment. I want you to be bought in just as much as I am. I take special efforts in talking out my thoughts on what therapies I think would be best and hear your feedback on my recommendations.

  • I want to know the parts that we “don’t say out loud,” the dreams you’ve waited to chase, and the worries that tend to stick around. All parts of you are welcome and encouraged on this journey.
